I was attempting to test btrfs in Fedora 33 20200904 compose and any time I select btrfs as the filesystem, it does not allow me to Encrypt that partition.

I just attempted with the Fedora Workstation live media to install with encryption with automatic partition (i.e. btrfs), and it seemed to work fine. What workflow were you trying where this failed? Could you provide reproducer steps?

1. Custom part
2. Btrfs preset, create partitions automatically
3. Click on /home or /
4. The "Encrypt" checkbox to the right of Device Type Btrfs, is grayed out
This is not a bug, it's expected. To encrypt:
5. To the right of Device Type, is Volume. Click on the Modify button underneath, check encrypt here.

It's not possible (yet) to encrypt individual subvolumes. We can only encrypt the entire Btrfs volume.
