@tsze From 4.6 onwards, the whole "Creating a mirror registry for installation in a restricted network" section is removed from the installation configuration book. See https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.8/installing/install_config/installing-customizing.html

Should the whole section be included again? Could there be a reason why it was removed in the first place?

In my opinion, yes, I believe the whole section on how to create registry should be restored.

I do not know why it was removed - before my time. When I asked about it,I think I was just told "there was restructuring".

Not sure what that link about customizing nodes has to do with this topic.

@tsze: "Creating a mirror registry" was deliberately excluded from 4.6+ and "Adding the registry to your pull secret" is already here - https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.6/installing/installing-mirroring-installation-images.html#installation-adding-registry-pull-secret_installing-mirroring-installation-images.

Please let me know if we can close this bug.

When I wrote this bz, I was looking to have instructions on how to create the mirror registry included.
If it was removed on purpose, and that decision is still valid, then I will close this ticket.
