Description Andre Robatino 2020-09-13 19:59:52 UTC
Description of problem:
In F33, attempting to remove fedora-repos-rawhide tries to remove fedora-repos-modular (part of the fedora-repos source package) as well.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
fedora-repos-modular-33-0.12.noarch

Comment 1 Andre Robatino 2020-09-13 20:01:19 UTC
Looks similar to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1807692 .

Comment 2 Miro Hrončok 2020-09-14 08:23:37 UTC
I'll fix this.

Comment 3 Fedora Update System 2020-09-14 08:37:44 UTC
FEDORA-2020-d63a23f366 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 33. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-d63a23f366

Comment 4 Andre Robatino 2020-09-14 14:42:27 UTC
Installing this update REQUIRES removing fedora-repos-rawhide and fedora-repos-rawhide-modular. If I try to install them again, it wants to downgrade fedora-repos and fedora-repos-modular to 33-0.12.

Comment 5 Fedora Update System 2020-09-14 15:11:22 UTC
FEDORA-2020-d63a23f366 has been pushed to the Fedora 33 testing repository.
In short time you'll be able to install the update with the following command:
`sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --advisory=FEDORA-2020-d63a23f366`
You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-d63a23f366

How do you install the upgrade and how do you try to install fedora-repos-rawhide and fedora-repos-rawhide-modular again?

Comment 7 Andre Robatino 2020-09-14 15:53:27 UTC
There were file conflicts, I had to use "--best --allowerasing" to do the update, which removed the fedora-repos-rawhide* packages. But just now, after doing a distro-sync (after the latest 33 u-t push), I can't reproduce the problem. I can install fedora-repos-rawhide and fedora-repos-rawhide-modular without any problem. Please ignore my negative karma. Sorry.

Comment 8 Andre Robatino 2020-09-14 15:58:39 UTC
FYI, I originally installed by manually downloading the koji packages, before it got to updates-testing, then using command-line dnf.

Comment 9 Andre Robatino 2020-09-14 16:01:45 UTC
I'm guessing that my problem was negecting to update the fedora-repos-rawhide* packages to 0.13 when I tested.

Comment 10 Miro Hrončok 2020-09-14 16:08:32 UTC
> I originally installed by manually downloading the koji packages

That may have created the conflict.

Discussed during the 2020-09-14 blocker review meeting: [0]

The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedFreezeException (Beta)" was made as it is a noticeable issue that cannot be fixed with an update.
