Description Gary Scarborough 2020-09-16 14:44:46 UTC
Description of problem:

If you have multiple organizations and create a host collection, it is viewable in both organizations. You can also add hosts from each organization. So a host collection can hold hosts from multiple orgs.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Satellite 6.7

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a second organization, add a host collection
2. register 2 hosts, one to each org
3. view host collection from each org, add host

Actual results:

host collection with hosts from both orgs

Expected results:

host collection should refuse hosts from the other org

Bug 1871977 - A user that is allowed to see only a host collection is able to see the names of all hosts in the satellite.

Hi @gscarbor

This appears to be fixed in current Satellite versions (I am unable to see my host collection from a different org), so closing this. If you are still seeing the behavior, please reopen with more details. Thanks!
