Description
Upstream Release Monitoring
2020-09-21 19:01:05 UTC
Eclipse requires and uses objectweb-asm 9.0 and patches to several projects have to be applied to restore compatibility with Java 8. 9.0 release also adds support for Java 15 features so it would be nice to have it updated in fedora. > [...] it would be nice to have it updated in fedora.
I agree! Feel free to submit a PR for the 9.0 update, if you can. Otherwise, this update will probably keep sitting in the Java SIG's backlog for a while ...
Latest upstream release: 9.1 Current version/release in rawhide: 8.0.1-2.fc34 URL: http://asm.ow2.org/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/ More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream.
