The same goes for postgresql-upgrade. It also requires python-2.7.

Comment 2 Honza Horak 2020-10-07 17:16:40 UTC
I believe this is gonna be solved as part of the PostgreSQL v13 update. Patrik, please, include the change in python2 aspect into https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/PostgreSQL_13 and make sure the postgresql-upgrade is handled as well. Thanks.

Comment 3 Honza Horak 2021-03-19 16:33:02 UTC
PR removing python2 at all prepared: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/postgresql/pull-request/28

The build is currently blocked on LLVM issue though: BZ#1940964

This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Comment 5 mkulik 2021-10-27 09:21:36 UTC
This issue has been resolved as a part of this commit: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/postgresql/c/e084551edd68290822f7276f0a37b82dfec5431c?branch=rawhide

postgresql-contrib and postgresql-upgrade no longer depends on python2 since version 13.2.
