When trying the LXDE spin of F33 beta I noticed that the ls command displays directory names in dark blue which makes them barely readable in virtual terminals with black background. In F32 and earlier a lighter blue was used in such cases. Other desktop environments may be affected, too.

The changed appearance is caused by the fact that file /etc/DIR_COLORS.256color
is no longer provided by package coreutils-common in F33. Is that intended?

Which terminal are you using?  Does it support configuring the color palette?

I'm using lxterminal which is the default for LXDE. It does support configuring the color palette, although I haven't paid much attention to this detail before.

I understand. Obviously there is no solution with fits all use cases perfectly, but I just found out that lxterminal produces a usable appearance even without DIR_COLORS.256color if the palette setting is changed from default "VGA" to "Tango". Therefore it is okay for me to have this bug closed (although this makes it harder to be found by other users which might stumble over the same issue).
