Comment 4 John Fulton 2021-06-24 14:15:50 UTC
The default path for Ceph client configuration files on the container host has changed in Wallaby from /etc/ceph/ to the path defined by CephConfigPath, which defaults to /var/lib/tripleo-config/ceph/. OpenStack containers which use Ceph (e.g. Nova, Cinder, Glance, etc.) should access Ceph client configuration files (e.g. /etc/ceph/{ceph.conf,ceph.client.openstack.keyring}) from the new path. After upgrading from ceph-ansible managed Ceph client configuration, the role tripleo_ceph_client from tripleo-ansible may be run to create the appropriate files in the new location on the container host. The new location will be mounted as /etc/ceph/ within the Ceph client containers so that no changes are needed in the container itself, only the container hosts.

One way to workaround this to override CephConfigPath: /etc/ceph so that the location of the files in /etc/ceph doesn't have to move or get copied.
