Description Jonathan Lebon 2020-11-12 22:06:06 UTC
Hi,

For RHCOS in OpenShift 4.7 (based on 8.3), we need a few dracut patches in order to enable complex root devices. I'm not sure if you were planning to cut a new release, though if not here are the specific patches we need backported:

https://github.com/dracutdevs/dracut/pull/780
https://github.com/dracutdevs/dracut/pull/931
https://github.com/dracutdevs/dracut/pull/968

The CoreOS team can help with verification once those patches are in a build.

Thanks!

This is targeted for 8.4, but ideally we'd get it into 8.3 as well so that we don't have to cherry-pick an 8.4 dracut into RHCOS 4.7.
