Description Eduardo Otubo 2020-11-13 11:10:57 UTC
Description of problem:
Default permissions on systemd generator should be 755 and not 771

Comment 1 Huijuan Zhao 2020-11-16 06:39:11 UTC
Testes with RHEL-8.4 nightly RHEL-8.4.0-20201114.n.0 on openstack, the cloud-init-generator default permission is 771, qa_ack+.

$ ls -al /usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/cloud-init-generator
-rwxrwx--x. 1 root root 4925 Nov 13 01:03 /usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/cloud-init-generator

$ rpm -qa | grep cloud-init
cloud-init-20.3-3.el8.noarch

Comment 8 Huijuan Zhao 2020-11-30 07:54:49 UTC
Tested with cloud-init-20.3-5.el8, the issue is fixed, systemd generator is 755.

$ rpm -qa | grep cloud-init
cloud-init-20.3-5.el8.noarch

$ ls -al /usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/cloud-init-generator
-rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 4925 Nov 27 03:32 /usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/cloud-init-generator

Change the status to VERIFIED.
