Description Ilanit Stein 2020-11-17 09:30:25 UTC
Description of problem:
Please add an intermediate solution to the missing Volume mode and Access modes options, till this RFE will be implemented:
Bug 1898254 - [MTV][Upstream][RFE] Add support for access and volume mode in storage mapping

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
MTV 2.0

Comment 4 Fabien Dupont 2020-12-10 20:00:54 UTC
The defaults will be implemented as custom resources. The users will be able to CRUD them to customize the configuration.

Comment 7 Nandini Chandra 2020-12-20 05:17:54 UTC
Verified that when Volume mode is set to 'Block' for VM migration to Ceph RBD,the setting is honoured and that the volume mode for the PVC created for the VM is 'Block'.

Verified this on a downstream build from Dec 18, 2020.

However,, the import to Ceph RBD block storage fails with this error. I'll be reporting a BZ to address this issue.
DataVolumeCreationFailed: Error while importing disk image: mini-rhel7-cloudinit-harddisk1. pod CrashLoopBackoff restart exceeded

Comment 8 Nandini Chandra 2020-12-20 05:31:05 UTC
Here's the BZ I reported to address the data volume creation failure.
