Update to 3.2.5 (#1902427)
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of PEGTL-3.2.5-1.fc34.src.rpm for rawhide failed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=82413032 Hi Zoltan, I see you assigned this to yourself a while ago. I don't see you on the list of maintainers on src.fp.o though---are you taking over from Attila, and do you need to be sponsored to the packager group etc? Hello, This bz has been assigned to me for a while now but I never got to it, then I moved teams. This should probably be assigned to Attila. Thanks Zoltan, Atilla, are you still maintaining this package? Cheers, Ankur Hello Ankur, I am more like a co-maintainer for this package. One of our packages(usbguard) has a build dependency on it. I can deliver the rebase but not in the upcoming days as I am quite busy with other priorities. Attila Hi Atilla, Ah? src.fp.o has you down as the main-admin, though? There's no hurry---I just wanted to check that someone is looking after this package given that this bug has been opened for a while now. I'll also see if I can work on the update if I have some time to spare after working on the neuro-sig packages. Thanks very much, Ankur @alakatos just a note for you. There are more packages dependent on PEGTL beside usbguard and rebasing PEGTL to the upstream version WILL break those packages as the API has changed substatially. You will probably need to talk with the maintainers of those dependent packages and make sure their packages support the newest PEGTL version. Update to 3.2.7 (#1902427)
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of PEGTL-3.2.7-1.fc36.src.rpm for rawhide failed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=89545489 We decided to keep PEGTL at the current release and only update to 3.x if a need arises. Two of the consumers appear to break when building against PEGTL 3.x. See: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/PEGTL/pull-request/3 If we did upgrade to 3.2.7, and add a 2.x compat package if necessary, I think I could probably unbundle the bundled PEGTL in the usd package. I wonder if any more of the dependent packages (paraview, usbguard, vtk) are now ready for PEGTL 3.x or not. |
