Description Vasishta 2020-12-09 14:44:23 UTC
Description of problem:
If user mishaps lvm_volumes variable initiation, ceph-ansible could validate the values and alert user by failing playbook which will prevent incomplete configuration of the OSDs which might induce some errors.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
ceph-ansible-4.0.40-1.el7cp.noarch

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to configure cluster with lvm_volumes having inappropriate device name
2. Run site.yml playbook

Actual results:
Playbook tried to configure cluster on best effort and ceph-volume fails to find devices and thus playbook fails with incomplete cluster configuration

Expected results:
Playbook could fail saying devices in lvm_volumes are not present in the node
