Description Robert Scheck 2006-05-10 15:06:17 UTC
Description of problem:
smartmontools 5.36 are available while Fedora Core Development hangs around at
the older version 5.33.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
smartmontools-5.33-8

Actual results:
I added a inofficial patch for cciss support (HP Smart Arrays). Just skip it,
if you don't like it - but it would be a very nice enhancement.

Expected results:
Upgrade to 5.36 ;-)

Was the patch submitted upstream?

Comment 3 Robert Scheck 2006-05-10 20:23:32 UTC
As far as I can see, the patch included into Debian smartmontools was developed
with the help of upstream maintainers and (c|sh)ould be in smartmontools 5.37:

- http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.utilities.smartmontools/3527/focus=3527

Or did I understand the postings wrong?

Built. I've also included the cciss patch.
