Description Courtney Ruhm 2021-01-07 21:01:13 UTC
Description of problem:

Customers OCP console Alerting screen shows no alerts, but Alertmanager UI shows four alerts. I expect the OCP console to show alerts. All pods in the Monitoring namespace are healthy and nothing seems to be going on in the cluster itself to be causing this.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

4.6.4

How reproducible:

Wasn't able to reproduce on a test cluster

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Openshift monitoring should display alerts no matter what path you take to the page.

Additional info:

Customer has also reported

" Oddly, or perhaps not, the problem occurs when I move from the Home->Overview screen to the Monitoring->Alerting screen, but does not occur when I move from the Compute->Nodes screen to the Monitoring->Alerting screen. "

After looking at screenshots of there cluster alerting screen with Java console on it seems to be giving a bunch of 401 errors and user not authorized errors. Not sure what could be the root cause

Andy could you please take a look and based on the severity reevaluate the Target Release.
Thanks!
