Description Josef Meier 2021-01-09 23:05:11 UTC
Hi,

in the graphical pipeline editor (web console) if you select a task, a sidebar opens on the right side of the window with all parameters of this task.

If you select the text in one of the edit boxes (you must select the text completely! with holding the left mouse button and selecting the text from the end! to the beginning!), the sidebar closes unexpectedly. If you select the text from the beginning to the end, this effect does not occur ;-)

This should not happen.

Thank you and greetings,

Josef

https://issues.redhat.com/browse/ODC-4277
this might be a fix you are looking for.

could you share us details like OCP version and RHOSP version (Red Hat OpenShift Pipelines).

In OCP-4.8, We have included the code assistance feature in pipeline builder https://issues.redhat.com/browse/ODC-4277, which can be used for referencing a variables into the task's params, when expressions etc, so users dont have to copy and paste the values from outside the sidebar.
