Description Hans de Goede 2021-01-11 14:02:59 UTC
The spinner / bgrt themes use the watermark differently then the charge theme, so symlinking to the charge theme watermark.png (which is an entirely transparent png) is not helpful.

The watermark in the spinner/bgrt themes is in the same place as the logo at the bottom of the gdm login screen to give a smooth transition from the boot-splash to the gdm login screen.

So the correct image to use / link to is /usr/share/pixmaps/fedora-gdm-logo.png, which interestingly enough still has fedora in its name in RHEL.
