As workaround I did `chmod a+x` Just to clarify, `generate_wrap_init.pl` is also concerned and it's worse because it silently fails and then the code fails with a link error. (updated the issue title) Indeed. Let me hack around this downstream for now, but can you file this upstream as well, please, to get the upstream meson build fixed?
