Description Clément OUDOT 2021-01-29 14:46:38 UTC
Package perl-Moo is available for EL8 but is missing for EL7

Comment 1 Emmanuel Seyman 2021-01-31 17:21:06 UTC
Starting with version 1.005000, perl-Moo depends on perl-Module-Runtime 0.14+ but EL7 ships with 0.13.
What version do you need, Clément ?

Comment 2 Clément OUDOT 2021-01-31 18:50:13 UTC
Hello Emmanuel,

thanks a lot for your help.

We would need 2.003004 at least...

Comment 3 Emmanuel Seyman 2021-01-31 20:27:55 UTC
This is the output of a (failed) koji build:
DEBUG util.py:446: Error: No Package found for perl(ExtUtils::MakeMaker) >= 6.76
DEBUG util.py:446: Error: No Package found for perl(Module::Runtime) >= 0.014
DEBUG util.py:446: Error: No Package found for perl(Role::Tiny) >= 2.000004
DEBUG util.py:446: Error: No Package found for perl(Sub::Defer) >= 2.003001
DEBUG util.py:446: Error: No Package found for perl(Sub::Quote) >= 2.003001
DEBUG util.py:446: Error: No Package found for perl(strictures) >= 1.004003

I'll play around with EPEL7 this week but I don't see this happening.
The EL7 perl stack looks to be too old to support Moo 2.x .

Comment 4 Emmanuel Seyman 2022-02-06 10:05:10 UTC
I'm sorry but I've given up on this issue. RHEL7 is just too old for recent versions of perl-Moo.
