Description Sonal 2021-02-09 11:42:58 UTC
Describe the issue:

Noobaa has the capability to set quota on object buckets (to set a limitation on the usage)
However our doc [1] 'Managing hybrid and multicloud resources' does not contain any procedure on how to set quota on buckets.

I got a reference to the steps from the Troubleshooting guide [2]. The steps are working fine.

The steps should be in doc [1] as well:

[1] https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.6/html/managing_hybrid_and_multicloud_resources/

[2] https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.6/html-single/troubleshooting_openshift_container_storage/index#resolving-noobaa-bucket-exceeding-quota-state_rhocs

Describe the task you were trying to accomplish:

To set limit on the object bucket configured using noobaa storage class.

Suggestions for improvement:

How to set Quota on Object Buckets configured using Noobaa storage class:

1. Log in to OpenShift Web Console and click Object Service.
2. In the Details card, click the link under System Name field.
3. In the left pane, click Buckets option and search for the bucket in error state.
4. Click on it’s Bucket Name.
5. Click Bucket Policies → Edit Quota and increase the quota.
