We need to back-port the following commit downstream (and upstream to nautilus):

https://github.com/ceph/ceph/commit/ccd95ef97be1c6bbd332d0d0943279db12b73b0c

Since the patch was already merged upstream, we could even do this in 4.2z1.

@Sunil: What do you think? Can we get this into 4.2z1? (provide a qa_ack if you agree, please)
