Is it possible to add release 5.11 to EPEL 7 and 8 in order to adress the following issue https://github.com/collectd/collectd/issues/3424. 

Note : A backport of the fix would also do the job for releases already present in EPEL 7 and 8.

Well, this is a major upgrade for epel, and we try and avoid those. 

What do my co-maintainers think here?

I am not sure if things will even build on epel7 (epel8 is more likely).
