Description of problem:
installing the package gives:

/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/ddclient.conf:1: Line references path below legacy directory /var/run/, updating /var/run/ddclient → /run/ddclient; please update the tmpfiles.d/ drop-in file accordingly.

That files needs to be updated.

PS. IIRC there is also a /var/run in the config file

That should be patched too, although I believe if the administrator has modified that file, RPM won't replace it.  So, those files would have to be fixed by the administrator.
