Description Christian Marineau 2021-03-03 21:23:43 UTC
Description of problem:
OpenShift customers using Subscription Watch to monitor their usage of OpenShift Subscriptions are often noticing that their capacity is way higher than they expected.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
NA

Actual results:
The threshold that shows the OpenShift capacity is often way higher than expected.

Expected results:
The customers are expecting to see the capacity they purchased according to the description of the SKU. When a SKU has been purchased to provide N number of cores, the customer are expecting to have a capacity of N added to their capacity.

Additional info:
The fact that many OpenShift SKU are providing multiple entitlements that each provides additional capacity is very misleading and would impact any customers reviewing their Subscription budget.

As of 19-01-2022, this is fixed in production.

The current subscriptions table shows you details about your currently active subscriptions. This view contains information that can help you understand the subscription threshold of that product within your account.

Also, as mentioned in description entitlements quantity is now ignored for openshift and only use core field.
