Description Jim Cornette 2006-06-01 14:01:08 UTC
Description of problem:

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kernel-2.6.16-1.2236_FC6

How reproducible:

Install the development version of the kernel
reboot the computer into new kernel.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install development kernel
2. Reboot into new kernel version
3. Notice errors related to cpu-frequency scaling
4. Notice cpu is at full speed.

Actual results:

CPU is pegged at full speed and does not scale.

Expected results:

Expected to have CPU scale according to workload.

Additional info:

I just upgraded from FC5 and noticed this problem after booting into the fully
updated Development condition.

Comment 1 Jim Cornette 2006-06-06 21:06:03 UTC
The cpu frequency scaling is now fixed starting again at kernel 2.6.16-1.2252_FC6.
