If customer uses minimal images and pure ceph subscription for Ceph nodes they by dafault can't upgrade unless they use 8.2 content. This means post leapp they end up on clean 8.2 and they either have to switch to 8.2 eus or 8.3.


1) If you have satellite you need to add 8.2(not eus one) into your content view.
2) After system_upgrade run you need to login to the node and run subscription-manager release --unset; dnf -y update and reboot the node.
3) Continue with the upgrade.

The steps 2 and 3 apply even for non satellite case where you use just CDN.
