*** Bug 1938251 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Seems mutter key event is changed. Note this affects various input methods, not only Hangul. A patch for this has been merged upstream. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/1802 Could you backport the fix to Fedora 34 GA while GNOME 40 schedule is closed? Discussed during the 2021-03-29 blocker review meeting: [0] The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedBlocker (Final)" was made as a conditional violation of various desktop criteria that require use of the affected functionality in affected languages/input methods, with reference also to the "Keyboard layout configuration" criterion. Please note that this bug was initially submitted as a potential Freeze Exception, but was promoted to Blocker after deliberation. [0] https://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-blocker-review/2021-03-29/f34-blocker-review.2021-03-29-16.00.txt I went ahead and backported the upstream fix to mutter-40.0-4.fc34 in https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/mutter/c/928dfe5ac13a1ca6bf808bfeefa8f08a7e114b7f?branch=f34 FEDORA-2021-406f832fe7 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 34. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-406f832fe7 FEDORA-2021-406f832fe7 has been pushed to the Fedora 34 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --advisory=FEDORA-2021-406f832fe7` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-406f832fe7 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates. FEDORA-2021-406f832fe7 has been pushed to the Fedora 34 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report. |
