Description Adam Miller 2021-03-30 19:57:12 UTC
Description of problem:

For the Management & Automation RHEL Fleet Management solution we'd like to request an officially "sanctioned" unique identifier/marker/breadcrumb be supplied by the redhat-release package in the form of an edge specific subpackage. We'll introduce that package as a required input into osbuild-composer for the compose type rhel-edge-commit (and any other RHEL for Edge compose type). This will provide the necessary information to drive Fact Collection on the machines running this image so we can properly identify them and inventory manage them accordingly as RHEL for Edge devices.
