Description Ben Beasley 2021-04-08 15:52:49 UTC
Thanks for packaging this recently!

Description of problem:

As the new maintainer of the luminance-hdr package, I need librtprocess built in these older releases so I can unbundle it from luminance-hdr.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): N/A

How reproducible: N/A

Actual results: librtprocess is built for F34-35 only

Expected results: librtprocess is built for F32-35

Additional info:

Add

> %undefine __cmake_in_source_build

to the spec file for Fedora 32 compatibility.

(Or skip it if you like, since F32 is less than two months from end of life.)

Thanks for asking me about this. I had thought about pinging you (as luminance-hdr maintainer) to inform about the possibility to unbundle librtprocess from your package, but I then forgot to send you an email...

I will take care of building librtprocess in F32 and F33 in the next weekend (I hope...). Let me know if you'd like to be added as co-maintainer, since your package will depend on it.

Comment 2 Ben Beasley 2021-04-09 12:22:19 UTC
Sure, I would be happy to co-maintain librtprocess.

Do you want to co-maintain luminance-hdr too? I’m not possessive…

Expect new luminance-hdr builds very soon. I picked it up after it was orphaned a few days ago, and there was a lot I wanted to improve about the packaging.

FEDORA-2021-7ed1c74c3a has been submitted as an update to Fedora 33. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-7ed1c74c3a

I have built librtprocess for F33 and submitted the update. I would not bother with F32 since we're so close to EOL.

I've also given you commit access to librtprocess. I should have built the F33 in a side-tag, so you could update luminance-hdr and release it in the same update, but I've realized that too late... anyway, I think you can create a buildroot override for F33, build luminance, then edit my update adding the new build. Or simply wait for my update to reach stable and then build luminance.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
BTW I haven't a strong interest in luminance-hdr, so no need to be added as co-maintainer ;-)

I used a buildroot override to add a luminance-hdr build to your update. Thanks!
