Description Marc Jadoul 2021-04-29 06:42:51 UTC
Description of problem:
My host is a Fedora 33
I run a Windows VM in KVM using virt-Manager.
I use usb redirection to access my usb key (16GB memory key)
After upgrade to usbredir 0.9, the acce"ss to the usb storage do not work in windows. The whole windows seems to lock which indicate there is probably a hardware or a driver issue.
Downgrading to usbredir 0.8 fix the issue: the usb storage works again and windows guest does not lock.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.8 is OK
0.9 fail.

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to usbredir in fedora 33
2. Install a Windows Guest (might also fail with other guest?)
2. share an USB key through virt-manager usb redirection (do not add the USB directly to GUEST hardware.)
3. access USB key in guest os

Actual results:
Windows OS lock when trying to access the USB disk.

Expected results:
It should work like with usbredir 0.8
