Description Orion Poplawski 2021-05-02 14:00:38 UTC
Description of problem:

It would be very helpful for updating KDE to have wayland-protocols updated to 1.19.

Comment 1 Olivier Fourdan 2021-05-03 14:46:26 UTC
FWIW, latest is 1.21, maybe we should consider that version.

Comment 2 Jonas Ã…dahl 2021-05-03 15:13:00 UTC
It is harmless to install 1.21 instead of 1.19, so I'd recommend going for the newest available. FWIW, 1.21 still supports autotools.

Comment 3 Troy Dawson 2021-05-07 20:03:52 UTC
wayland-protocols-1.21 looks like it works. It is currently in rawhide and seems to be working.

This would be great if it can make it into RHEL 8.5.

RHEL 8.5 has an updated qt5 that is already in CentOS Stream 8.
Thus we will need to update KDE in EPEL8 when RHEL 8.5 comes out.
