The GRUB screen that lets you select kernels has a very very small UI that is not high DPI friendly. See attached screenshot. It's probably not super friendly for a standard DPI screen for that matter. :)

By contrast, openSUSE Tumbleweed--which I just switched from--has a nice GRUB screen with large centered list items in the center of the screen. It's much nicer overall.

This is an issue with upstream GRUB too, please report a bug there.
