Description Nick Levinson 2021-05-30 06:26:32 UTC
Description of problem: Legal error in legal doc that comes with distro.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Unknown.

How reproducible: Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit getfedora.org.
2. Download F34 Workstation for the x86_64 architecture, thus Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-34-1.2.iso (I did on May 29, 2021).
3. Look inside the .iso file. I'm not sure of all your options for doing so; you may have to burn it to a disc to do that.
4. Read the file Fedora-Legal-README.txt .

Actual results: It refers twice to "Fedora 31" and one other time to just "31". I don't think you mean 31 and that could have legal implications.

Expected results: Get legal advice and edit the file accordingly.

Additional info:

You should also look at what's in F33, since it's not at EOL yet, and in rawhide.

This isn't what you consider to be documentation.

Component is doubtless wrong. After many tries, it seemed closest but its description says otherwise.

Severity levels don't apply to this problem. I think the effect is less on the user and more on Red Hat.

Hi,

"Component: file", file is command https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_(command), package https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/file in fedora.

This problem should be reported against https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=182235 or via email legal.org (from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:Main).

I'm not responsible person for this "bug"...

I emailed, but I did not add to the tracker, not being clear that it applies.
