Ok, I have added the change to annobin-9.73-2.fc35. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 35 development cycle. Changing version to 35. This message is a reminder that Fedora Linux 35 is nearing its end of life. Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora Linux 35 on 2022-12-13. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a 'version' of '35'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, change the 'version' to a later Fedora Linux version. annobin-docs in Rawhide has this: Obsoletes: %{name} < 9.66-1 however, it's not doing the job, because annobin in F34 has reached 9.72-2.fc34 (and even F33 has 9.68-2.fc33), but without doing the package name change. So upgrades from F33 or F34 to Rawhide fail if annobin is installed, with an error like: file /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/11/plugin/annobin.so.0.0.0 from install of annobin-plugin-gcc-9.73-1.fc35.x86_64 conflicts with file from package annobin-9.72-2.fc34.x86_64 file /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/11/plugin/annobin.so.0.0.0 from install of annobin-plugin-gcc-9.73-1.fc35.x86_64 conflicts with file from package annobin-9.72-2.fc34.x86_64 you could bump the version manually (and remember to keep bumping it), or you could change it to: Obsoletes: %{name} < %{version}-%{release} which I think should do the trick. As long as we don't wind up with a newer annobin in F34 than in Rawhide at any point.
