Steps to Reproduce, similar to bug 1961492: 1. Setup an NFS server with exports. mkdir /exports mkdir -p /exports/data/lib Create /etc/exports as: /exports/data <some other ip address>(insecure,rw,sync,no_subtree_check) /exports/data/lib <client ip address>(insecure,rw,sync,no_subtree_check) 2. Ensure the /net entry in /etc/auto.master is commented and add vers=3: /net -hosts vers=3 3. Start autofs and attempt a mount of /net/f28/exports/data/lib: ls /net/<nfs server>/exports/data/lib ls: cannot access '/net/f28/exports/data/lib': No such file or directory 4 Stop autofs. Patch - fix nonstrict offset mount fail handling
Upstream patch.
(In reply to Ian Kent from comment #1) > Steps to Reproduce, similar to bug 1961492: > 1. Setup an NFS server with exports. > > mkdir /exports Correction, this should be: mkdir -p /exports/data > mkdir -p /exports/data/lib > > Create /etc/exports as: > /exports/data <some other ip address>(insecure,rw,sync,no_subtree_check) > /exports/data/lib <client ip address>(insecure,rw,sync,no_subtree_check) > > 2. Ensure the /net entry in /etc/auto.master is commented and add vers=3: > /net -hosts vers=3 > > 3. Start autofs and attempt a mount of /net/f28/exports/data/lib: > ls /net/<nfs server>/exports/data/lib > ls: cannot access '/net/f28/exports/data/lib': No such file or directory > > 4 Stop autofs. This fix is not correct, setting back to assigned. Created attachment 1792039 [details]
