Description Jerry James 2021-06-18 12:54:25 UTC
Description of problem:
The latest build of eclib is hanging in the testsuite on both i386 and 32-bit arm. No 64-bit build seems to be affected. This may be a consequence of switching pari from a single-threaded build to a multi-threaded build, since the test suite hang was not observed before then.

For now, I am disabling the test suite on the 32-bit architectures. That should not matter, because the only consumer is sagemath, which is not built for 32-bit architectures. Still, we need to investigate the issue and find a good solution.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
eclib-20190909-10.fc35

How reproducible:
So far, only once.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable the eclib test suite on all architectures
2. Do a koji build of eclib

Actual results:
The test suite hangs (on different tests!) on both i386 and 32-bit arm.

Expected results:
The test suites should complete.

Additional info:
Multithreaded pari may be a factor.
