Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream.

Comment 1 Petr Pisar 2021-07-13 06:16:48 UTC
A bug fix and few improvements. It requires perl(ExtUtils::CChecker) >= 0.11 for building. Suitable for Fedora ≥ 35.

Comment 2 Petr Pisar 2021-07-13 08:08:24 UTC
This breaks a perl-Future-AsyncAwait-0.51 test:

[test@fedora-35 Future-AsyncAwait-0.51]$ perl -Iblib/{lib,arch} t/32compile-errors.t
ok 1 - RT129987 test case 1 does not segfault
ok 2 - RT129987 test case 2 does not segfault
ok 3 - RT129987 test case 3 does not segfault
ok 4 - RT130417 strict-failing code fails to compile
ok 5 - Failure message complains about undeclared $x
ok 6 - RT131487 strict-failing code fails to compile
not ok 7 - Failure message complains about undeclared $api
# Failed test 'Failure message complains about undeclared $api'
# at t/32compile-errors.t line 85.
# 'parse failed--compilation aborted at (eval 14) line 9.
# '
# doesn't match '(?^u:^Global symbol "\$api" requires explicit package name)'
1..7
# Looks like you failed 1 test of 7.

Reported to an upstream <https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=137589>.

Comment 3 Petr Pisar 2021-07-13 10:47:55 UTC
The failure was corrected in perl-Future-AsyncAwait-0.51-4.fc35.

Comment 4 Petr Pisar 2021-07-13 11:13:05 UTC
The update's getting messy because Bodhi does not support side tags well. There will probably be two updates, each for a package.

Comment 5 Petr Pisar 2021-07-13 11:19:45 UTC
So it's not because of side-tags. It's because Rawhide updates are "automatic" and users cannot edit them.

Comment 6 Petr Pisar 2021-07-14 06:11:48 UTC
Gating infrastructure had an outage and a newer version obsoleted this update.
