The SNP binary uses UEFI networking drivers, which in our experience often work much better than the drivers from iPXE itself. RHEL/CentOS 8 already ship it, Fedora should as well:

$ rpm -q ipxe-bootimgs
ipxe-bootimgs-20181214-8.git133f4c47.el8.noarch
$ ls /usr/share/ipxe | grep snp
ipxe-snponly-x86_64.efi
