ceph-csi does this because of the limitation of external-provisioner, nothing much can be done at this point of time.

Aman, as Mudit mentioned in earlier comments, this is working as designed and more discussions on this can be found at https://github.com/kubernetes-csi/external-provisioner/issues/199

Considering this is a generic behaviour, we would like to close this as NOT A BUG. 

Please feel free to reopen if you think there is still enhancement required on this.

No plans to fix this RFE in 4.9, moreover we need to conclude the discussion happening in the above comments.
Moving it out of 4.9

Humble, please check if we can provide a clear description of the solution to the UI team.

Not much progress so far and we can't take RFE now in 4.10
Humble, if this is still doable/required then please work with Eran and create an Epic.
