Description myoder 2021-07-20 15:37:27 UTC
Description of problem:

Would like to see the scap results for all hosts in its own column when users navigate to "Hosts => All Hosts" in the Satellite UI.

If needed, there could be an advanced setting that allows this to be a toggleable option for the All Hosts page.

Currently 3 ways to get access to the SCAP results from Satellite UI:

  1. Navigate to the individual Host page to get details for only that host
  2. Hosts => Reports, which is hard to filter/organize
  3. Monitor => Dashboard => Latest Compliance Reports

Of these options, the Dashboard organizes the information well, but only allows users to navigate to one host at a time.

If the scap results were put in the All Hosts page, users could use the filter bar to sort hosts by hostgroup, subscription, os, etc, and would be very helpful to organize information about SCAP report results.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite 6.8

Steps to Reproduce:

2.
3.

Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you.

Thank you for your interest in Red Hat Satellite. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this feel free to contact your Red Hat Account Team. Thank you.
