mgrossu reported this to me on irc, but using RH_SW_VULKAN=1 to enable lavapipe for testing doesn't work in a VM when using a wayland session.

Upstream fixes are available and just need to be backported to the current 8.5 package. The fixes are pretty localised so should be safe to backport.
