Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/5144/ 1.10.48 fixes an applet crash that I was experiencing and (per the release notes) adds support for GNOME 40. (It doesn't list GNOME 41 in /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/workrave/metadata.json, but a local build that includes it works fine.)
