Description Matthew Sakai 2021-07-29 23:09:36 UTC
Description of problem:
The VDO conversion process can create a new index super block with either version 6 or 7 depending on the format of the original VDO volume. However, the distinction turns out to be unnecessary and the post-conversion format can be simplified by only using version 7.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. This only affects VDO volumes created on RHEL8.1 or earlier, which are subsequently brought forward to RHEL8.5 and then converted. There should be no outward changes in behavior for these or any other volumes.

2.
3.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Additional info:
No change in behavior. Sanity only verification is sufficient.
