I have a PR adding a proper support for RHEL 9 here:

https://github.com/willshersystems/ansible-sshd/pull/163

Its mostly adjusting tests + adding the vars definition. Tested locally with "rhel-guest-image-9.0-20210729.2.x86_64.qcow2" image and all worked fine.

I would like to ask Rich or Noriko for a review.

It should also address the issues reported in bug #1978752.
