Description fujiwara 2021-08-12 10:37:25 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1993054 +++

https://github.com/ibus/ibus-anthy/issues/23

IBus 1.5.25 will use Ctrl-period shortcut key to toggle Emoji typing on-off while the previous shortcut key was Ctrl-Shift-e shorcut to follow GNOME desktop. and the ibus-anthy's circle_kana_mode could prevents the emoji typing.

MS-Windows uses Super-period but GNOME uses Ctrl-period.
ibus-anthy's shortcut keys follow MS-IME but this shorcut key will be an exception.

I will rebase ibus-anthy to 1.5.13
The differences between the current RHEL9 ibus-anthy and 1.5.13 are:

- Remove Ctrl+period in circle_kana_mode (this subject)
- Translation updates

Test Case 1 - Remove Ctrl+period
--------------------------------
1. Enable ibus-anthy with Super-space
2. Set Eisu mode in the Anthy's input mode
3. Run gedit
4. Press Ctrl-perid

Expected result:
Emoji mode is enabled. You can cancel the Emoji mode with Escape key.

Test Case 2 - Translation updates
---------------------------------
No need test for QE
