This just hasn't been done yet. PR is up: https://github.com/openshift/ocs-operator/pull/1307 Please test with the latest build. Validated the fix with ODF cluster version 4.9.0-139.ci and following steps were performed :- 1. Install odf-operator 4.9 2. In UI, go to "Operators" --> "Installed Operators" 3. Verify ocs-operator 4.9 is not present in the list. The OCS operator was not present in the list of installed operators , hence satisfying the expected result . The screenshot for the same is attached in the next comment . Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA. Created attachment 1814816 [details] ocs-operator is not hidden in Installed Operators Description of problem (please be detailed as possible and provide log snippests): odf-operator 4.9 will install ocs-operator 4.9 as its dependency. But ocs-operator is not hidden from "Installed Operators" list in UI. Creation of storage cluster directly from ocs-operator is also not disabled. Screenshot attached. User is not blocked from creating storage cluster directly form ocs-operator. Is there any workaround available to the best of your knowledge?
