Description Miroslav Rezanina 2021-08-30 05:57:05 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1998945 +++

After we rebase to QEMU 6.1 we need to ensure old machine types stays compatible with previous version.

Check the changes and prepare fix for keeping machine types compatible.

Comment 1 John Ferlan 2021-09-09 13:42:13 UTC
Bulk update: Move RHEL-AV bugs to RHEL8.

Comment 2 Thomas Huth 2021-09-28 07:54:12 UTC
FWIW, looks like there is not much to do for s390x here: hw_compat_6_0 only contains entries that are not related to s390x, so this should not affect the s390x machine type.

Verified forth and back migration works with:

qemu-kvm-6.0.0-29.module+el8.5.0+12386+43574bac.s390x

Destination host
qemu-kvm-6.1.0-3.module+el8.6.0+12982+5e169f40.s390x
