Description Miroslav Suchý 2021-09-05 15:32:43 UTC
Description of problem:
When upgrading from F34 to F35 I get:
Problém 3: package pulseaudio-module-gconf-14.2-3.fc34.x86_64 requires libpulsecore-14.2.so()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
  - package pulseaudio-module-gconf-14.2-3.fc34.x86_64 requires pulseaudio(x86-64) = 14.2-3.fc34, but none of the providers can be installed
  - pulseaudio-14.2-3.fc34.x86_64 does not belong to a distupgrade repository
  - problem with installed package pulseaudio-module-gconf-14.2-3.fc34.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf --releasever=35 --setopt=deltarpm=false --setopt=module_platform_id=platform:f35 --enablerepo=updates-testing --enablerepo=updates-testing-modular --disableplugin=needs-restarting --disableplugin=tracer distro-sync

Comment 1 Wim Taymans 2021-09-06 07:23:13 UTC
Should that be with the --allowerasing option as well?

pulseaudio-module-gconf was removed in f35. Maybe it needs an Obsoletes: in the spec file.

Comment 2 Rex Dieter 2021-09-07 19:29:40 UTC
Yes, for any subpkg that gets removed, added Obsoletes: will (gracefully) handle the upgrade path.
