Description of problem:
The Quick search placeholder is not displayed properly when the search string is removed. Happens when there are no search results.

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Quick search (ctrl + spacebar)
2. type a string that has no search results
3. double click the search string and enter backspace / Ctrl+X

Actual results:
Only a portion of the placeholder string is visible


Expected results:
It should show `Add a project..`

Verified it on 4.10.0-0.nightly-2021-10-10-051521 and its works as expected.
