1. Install ODF
2. Go to create StorageSystem wizard
3. Choose an external connection offering
4. Click create StorageSystem

Monitoring and node labels should be not missing for an external storage platform

Workaround:

Perform following:

1. kubectl label node <NodeName> cluster.ocs.openshift.io/openshift-storage='' for all of your nodes
2. kubectl label namespace openshift-storage "openshift.io/cluster-monitoring=true"
